Agra: After spending decades in a circus, elephants Mia and Sita were rescued by an animal welfare group on Sunday, and are now travelling to a conservation centre on board India's first modern customized elephant ambulance. The two pachyderms were saved by Wildlife SOS under their Circus Elephant Rescue Mission, which is coordinated by the Union government, on Sunday, from the Great Circus at Thiruvanamalai, Tamil Nadu.
